World's Only Hero: An Apocalyptic LitRPG Adventure

Dive headfirst into Book One of the high-octane Chance Encounter series, an action-packed LitRPG odyssey through a post-apocalyptic world

He wasn’t chosen to be a hero. That’s not going to stop him. Leave everything to Chance.

Chance Encounter is a highly skilled operative with the kind of military clearance that makes problems disappear. But when invaders from another dimension rip open the sky and the universe selects its official heroes, he gets skipped. Chance is certain someone made a mistake, but with his pilot suddenly missing and his plane now spiraling toward the Earth, he has more important things to worry about. Chance next finds himself crash-landing on the wrong side of reality behind enemy lines, facing invaders gearing up to cut their way through the population.

As the only person left on Earth with the power to fight the endless hordes, Chance is thrust into an impossible role: hold the line until reinforcements arrive, or humanity collapses. Blending high-stakes tactical warfare with a unique gear-based magic system, Chance’s journey isn’t about being the chosen one: It’s about being the only one left—and choosing to fight anyway.

Being the World′s Only Hero is all up to Chance.

A new high-energy series from Dakota Krout where James Bond meets Jack Reacher in a LitRPG invasion, Chance Encounter is a fast-paced LitRPG post-apocalyptic fantasy series perfect for fans of the high-stakes survival of Dungeon Crawler Carl, the smart, strategic protagonist of Jack Reacher, and the large-scale invasion of Defiance of the Fall.
