What If I Don’t? is a contemporary murder mystery set in Chicago’s South Side, following a family of therapists as they investigate a murder right under their noses.

Three siblings, along with their uncle, open a community mental health center on Chicago’s South Side. It quickly becomes profitable, but when one of the principals gets murdered, everything is thrown into turmoil.

Not satisfied with the police’s progress on the murder investigation, the siblings decide to solve the murder themselves, leading to mayhem, including insider trading, sex scandals, divorce, and murder-for-hire. 

The novel takes a sharp twist in the second half—one that readers will never see coming.
