We Help Out at School (Scholastic News Nonfiction Readers: We the Kids)

Introducing different ways students can help in school, including passing out papers, watering plants, feeding class pets, and cleaning.

Scholastic News Nonfiction Readers: We the Kids series gives the youngest reader (Ages 6-7) an introduction to being good citizens. Each book includes chapters that help readers identify key details while the photographs, and other text features encourage students to make connections on their own.

Amanda has spent most of her career writing nonfiction for children in preschool to second grade. She is a former reading specialist and holds an Ed.M. from the University of Virginia.
