Sukhen Chatterjee is the author of The Design of Modern Steel Bridges, 2nd Edition, published by Wiley. This book examines the design of steel beam, plate girder and box girder components of bridges. It also provides an overview of the historical development of steel bridges, of the behaviour of steel as a material and of limit state design. The second edition has been revised to take account of revisions to the bridge code of practice.
