Harder than getting these positions for minorities is keeping them, and the primary difficulty consistent in attainting and maintaining this seat of power is the dearth of people who have the unique experience of negotiating the politics of the boardroom, the hypervisibility of being the “only one” or “one of the few” at the table, and the responsibility that comes with representation.

With over twenty years of C-suite experience, Arturo Nuñez has worked at the world’s largest companies: he served as the VP of Latin America for the National Basketball Association, the Global VP of Basketball Marketing for Nike, the Head of Marketing of Latin America for Apple, and was recently elected to Estee Lauder’s board of directors.
