Temple Grandin (Women in Science)

Thanks to Temple, many farm animals live far happier lives!

Women in Science series takes a highly visual approach to telling the stories of important women scientists. Features include bite-sized text telling the story of a scientist's life, groundbreaking works, and legacy for young readers (Ages 7-8).Temple Grandin's research into animal behavior and inventions in farm technology have changed the way that livestock are treated across North America and all over the world. Before, animals were treated terribly and often suffered before they died. Temple has also been a hard-working campaigner for autism awareness, helping to promote an understanding of this disorder.

Isobel Lundie graduated from Kingston University in 2015 where she studied illustration and animation. She is interested in how colorful and distinctive artwork can transform stories for children.
Ruby Cardona is a history graduate from the University of Bristol in England. She specializes in educational biographies of women.
