She has written kid-friendly biographies on U.S. Senator John Lewis, scientist and artist George Washington Carver, and civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. \u003cbr\u003eAmanda earned a bachelor’s degree in English from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
