Proceeding of the 9th International Ceramic Processing Science Symposium

The foundations of ceramic processing science are found in Chemistry, Physics, and Chemical Engineering. Mathematics has taken on a more important role as a result of the quest to compute and model the responses of colloidal systems, forming processes, sintering, and microstructure evolution.

This CD-ROM is a compilation of several papers presented at the 9th International Ceramic Processing Science Symposium. The meeting was chaired by Gary L. Messing, and co-chaired by Professors Shin-ichi Hirano and Ludwig Gauckler. Gary L. Messing, Distinguished Professor of Ceramic Science and Engineering in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Materials Research Institute at Pennsylvania State University.

Shin-ichi Hirano, Professor of Inorganic Materials Chemistry in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at Nagoya University.

Ludwig Gauckler, Professor for "Nonmetallic Inorganic Materials" in the Department of Material Science at the ETH-Zurich.
