Joyce C. Harper has been working in the fields of IVF and reproductive genetics since 1987. After completing her PhD at Kings College London, she worked as the Laboratory Director at the London Fertility Centre with Ian Craft and then joined the Hammersmith Hospital preimplantation genetic diagnosis.

Alan H. Handyside is the editor of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis, published by Wiley.
Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis provides a valuable introduction and overview of the principles and practice of this relatively new branch of medicine, which has been formed by the fusion of Prenatal Diagnosis (PD) with in vitro fertilisation (IVF). This book contains research from leading scientists and clinicians within this field.Features include:
* A concise introduction to the field of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)
* Detailed explanations of the techniques and procedures used
* The law and ethical implications of PGD
* Future uses of PGD
