This two volume set focuses and reviews the most important synthetic procedures developed over the last 5 years, and to provide an analysis of the significance and applications of those procedures. With hundreds of reactions covered in the combined volumes, this set provides a compact and convenient way for chemists to stay abreast of the most important recent developments in organic synthesis. Douglass F. Taber is Professor of Chemistry at the University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware. Professor Taber received his B.S. from Stanford University in 1970, and his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1974. Following a postdoctoral appointment with Professor Barry Trost at the University of Wisconsin, he was Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University from 1975 - 1982, when he moved to University of Delaware. Professor Taber has more than 150 publications in the organic chemistry field, and has authored 4 chapters and 2 books. His research interests include the stereoselective synthesis of natural products, new methods in synthetic organic chemistry, and computational organometallic chemistry in organic synthesis.
