The Friends of Type are a loose collective of well-respected designers from New York and San Francisco.

Since 2008, they've been collaborating on commercial work as well as on an online project where they post their cheerful experiments into the cutting edge of type-design. This collection of 100 fun and funky postcards features some of their most popular designs, from birthday greetings to valentines to anthemic slogans, all rendered in vibrant color and elegant type. Subdivided into ten themed categories (such as encouragement, birthdays, pop culture references, affection and strong language), this deluxe box also features a fold-out interview with the Friends of Type that details their processes, work and inspirations.
