She has served in an advisory capacity for such counties as Bolivia, Nepal, Kenya, the United States, and Korea on developing a national strategy for environmental education and has consulted with such organizations as the World Wildlife Fund, the World Bank, the U.S. Forest Service, and the World Conservation Union. As an adjunct research scientist with the Department of Anthropology at the University of Michigan, her current work focuses on issues of public choice and public responsibility in relation to the internationalization of environmental issues. She is serving as advisory to the film Right To Hope, which links culture, art, and the global environment as part of the 1995 celebration of the United Nations' 50th anniversary. She serves as a member of the NAPA Governing Council and is currently on the Board of the High Plains Society for Applied Anthropology.
