Engaging with Jewish People
Description
To my mind there is no better starting point for preparing to share the gospel with Jewish people than this excellent guide. Page after page, I found myself wanting to cheer out loud because of its wisdom and helpfulness. Nothing in recent years has reinvigorated my own desire to speak to Jewish people about Jesus more than this book. It’s slim in size, but mighty in worth. | This helpful book is an ideal resource for anyone wishing to understand the Jewish people and their religion, and learn how to share their own faith in Jesus with them. It is a practical, prayerful and personal guide, written in an accessible style and dealing in a comprehensive way with the questions that Jewish people ask about the Christian faith. | Randy Newman is a Jewish believer in Jesus who had the joy of seeing his elderly Jewish parents come to their Messiah. I have partnered with Randy over many years in various types of Jewish outreaches and have always appreciated his great sense of humor, depth of soul, passion for his own people and his uncanny ability to effectively communicate what is important about the gospel message. In this new book, Randy is able to apply his wealth of practical experience and great skills that have been honed over time and tempered by excellent theological training. I know that this book will be a great help in the field of Jewish evangelism and as president of Chosen People Ministries I look forward to using Engaging Jewish People in training my Gentile brothers and sisters to reach Jewish people for Yeshua the Messiah. | As someone involved in direct Jewish evangelism each week it is a delight to be able to wholeheartedly recommend Engaging with Jewish People to you. This book perfectly balances practical evangelistic experience with the theological integrity required to make your witness to Jewish people Biblical, credible and authentic. With his usual skill and wisdom Randy explains why many Jewish people don’t believe in Jesus in an accessible and personal way without sacrificing Gospel integrity. Randy shows us a way to step into the process of engaging with Jewish people by helping us to better understanding their world. Once we have done that we’ll be well placed to connect them to their Messiah. Humorous and practical at every stage even putting 1 or 2 of his ideas into practice will make a difference to your evangelism. This realistic and hopeful book will not give you an “A-Z” method to achieve results in Jewish mission but it will give you insight and compassion for a people who need the Gospel every bit as much as any other people group and yet to this day remain over 97% unreached. I urge anybody leading or attending a church in a Jewish community or anyone who has Jewish friends, family or work colleagues to read this book and teach its contents to others. | To my mind, there’s no better starting point for preparing to share the gospel with Jewish people than Engaging With Jewish People.
