Donde el agua no muerde / Where the Water Doesn't Bite

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Rodrigo Unda and Fa Orozco combine their talents to bring us a story of resilience, love, friendship, and hope. A story that will help us see our own cloud in a different light.

Xochi is an axolotl who is—or thinks she is—happy. She never gets angry, tries not to feel sad, and although she’s not one for nostalgia, every now and then she makes a point of mentioning her parents’ names, so as not to forget them. She’d like her life to be perfect, but the price for that is too high. She spends her time worrying too much about making sure the cloud above her head looks good, and for that reason, she never lets her emotions get the better of her.

Ameyalli has a life story and an attitude toward it that are very different from Xochi’s, but that doesn’t mean they’re all that different. Both have experienced tragedies and bear very painful scars, but they have also found, at different times, the courage to rise to the surface. It is there that, together, they will learn something very important about their clouds and about themselves.
