Chevy Blazer & Jimmy Limited Edition Extra 1969-1982

Most SUVs were based on existing truck chassis with the result that early examples were pretty basic but were strong and powerful and soon became symbols of a new lifestyle.  One of the first in the market was the Blazer which quickly established itself as one of the biggest selling vehicles in North America because of its go-anywhere capabilities and roominess.  The other plus was a range of accessories such as airconditioning, automatic transmission , carpets, etc.   The Blazer soon became a symbol of a new breed of buyer in North America as it was a big seller for GM and generated huge profit per unit.  Large interest clubs have been formed by people who enjoy getting away and out into remote areas of the country where they can exploit the off-road capabilities of the Blazer to the fullest extent.
