He is currently back at Coe as an associate professor of physics. His work focuses on the study of glass and the use of optics to investigate its structure.  His work was recognized by the National Science Foundation through a Presidential Early Career Award (PECASE), which he received at the White House in February of 1999. Dr. Affatigato maintains a very active research program that involves close to ten undergraduate students every summer, and he is also the Site Director of Coe's Research Experiences for Undergraduates site, one of the few national NSF sites at a small college. He has been involved with the Glass and Optical Materials Division of the American Ceramic Society for over a decade, and is currently serving as Vice Chair of the Division.","brand":"Wiley-American Ceramic Society","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47988681801957,"sku":"NP9780470083437","price":201.95,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1842\/7735\/files\/9780470083437.jpg?v=1761781226","url":"https:\/\/k12savings.com\/products\/advances-in-glass-and-optical-materials-ii-isbn-9780470083437","provider":"K12savings","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
