Follow the threads of a young girl's scarf, and discover the ways each person's individual identity is shaped by our parents and ancestors, the foods we eat, the traditions we pass down, and so much more. Just like different types of poetry from around the world, young readers will be inspired to see their details, and those of others, as divinely designed. 

You Are a Poem is inspired by words from Paul’s letter to the church found in the Book of Ephesians, reminding the people there that they are a “masterpiece,” (or “poeima” in Greek). Tasha Jun's lyrical text, paired with the uniquely crafted collage art by Shelley Hanmo, serve as a beautiful reminder that every child is beautifully and wonderfully made.
