Mikey Donahue isn’t having an easy time in Seattle. Ever since he moved there, he’s felt like a benchwarmer in life, and he’s convinced his baseball dreams are on hold forever when he joins the struggling Salmon Bay Sluggers . . .

Until he meets Scout, a stray Border Collie mix with one floppy ear and sharp instincts. She’s been watching Mikey’s practices from the sidelines—and she even joins the fun by fetching baseballs for the team!

Now, the Sluggers have a new mascot that helps boost the team’s morale and Mikey’s confidence. But will Scout be enough to help the team turn things around and win?
