Teachers Reaching Out

In celebration of Mark Motley’s legacy, Jimmy Bailey, Executive Director of YEScarolina, has compiled herein twenty-five true stories of teachers who are teaching kids to become the business leaders of the future. YEScarolina thas trained over 500 teachers in South Carolina through the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship University accredited training program. Their students have learned how to transform their street smarts into business smarts. YEScarolina is a statewide nonprofit initiative designed to help young people from grades 6-12 build practical business skills and unlock their entrepreneurial creativity. The underlying goal of the organization is to create economic equality for children of all socio-economic backgrounds while simultaneously empowering youth to harness their unique gifts to follow their dreams. The teachers profiled in this book share their tools for inspiring confidence, getting kids motivated, unleashing their creativity and honing leadership skills. These twenty-five true stories are a testament to the dedication and the passion that YEScarolina and NFTE trained teachers bring to the classroom and to their students everyday.
