Since 1972 he is professor at the JOGU and teaches General and Applied Entomology. His chief research interests are Endocrine Regulation of Insect Reproduction, Role of Hormones in Locust Phase Polymorphism and Mode of Action of Natural Insect Growth Regulators. In 1981\/82 he was Visiting Professor at the Department of Biology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill (USA) sponsored by the VW-Stiftung.
