Slug Stephens was once the world’s greatest cryptid hunter, now he’s just a has-been. Out of nowhere, the shadowy Daedalus Corporation calls him back for “one last job” and they won't take no for an answer. Slug discovers the monster he’s been tasked with hunting is none other than his former crew-mate, Ajax, who has traveled back in time to tame the legendary beast, Nahuelito, for nefarious intents unknown. Racing against the clock, Slug must don his old suit (if it fits over his beer-belly, and reunite his old team-members, all while clashing with his prickly attaché, Jonesy, as the team traverses sunken forests, frozen oceans, and deadly dive bars to stop an old friend—and fix a past mistake that haunts them to this day.
