While searching for the pickpocket girl Mewi Freya’s older sister, Beryl and Lucy storm the hideout of Mewi’s bandit gang to interrogate its mastermind, Twilight. Although the thieves are dispatched handily, the mystery of Mewi’s missing sister remains unsolved. An exhausted and dejected Beryl decides to drown his sorrows at the bar, where he quickly hits it off with a skilled knight named Spur.
