Len Wein passed away in 2017.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLegendary artist Bernie Wrightson created horror art for over 45 years.  His first professional comic work appeared in \u003ci\u003eHouse of Mystery\u003c\/i\u003e #179 in 1968. He continued to work on a variety of mystery and anthology  titles for both DC and its principal rival, Marvel Comics. In 1971,  with writer Len Wein, Wrightson co-created the muck creature Swamp Thing  for DC. Bernie died on March 18, 2017, at the age of 68. He lived in Austin,  Texas with his wife Liz and two corgis – Mortimer and Maximillian.
