Borgward Isabella

Carl F. W. Borgward, the proprietor of the Hansa, Lloyd and Goliath marques, announced the new 11/2-litre saloon in 1954 that was dubbed (Isabella÷ during final testing. May 1955 saw a Combi estate and 1955 TS model. Bridging the TS saloon and coupT was the TS De Luxe. Officially the last Isabella was made in September 1961. After legal problems manufacture was transferred from West Germany to Mexico in 1964-5. This book is a collection of road tests, driving impressions, model introd's, technical data. Models covered are: 1500, TS, Combi, TS coupT, TS convertible, 2.3, TS75, 230 Six GL.
