As head of Detroit's program to infuse African American history into the public school curriculum, he instructed teachers on how to incorporate African American scientific history into their classes. He is also the author of \u003ci\u003eAfrican American Inventors\u003c\/i\u003e (Wiley). \u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eJIM HASKINS\u003c\/b\u003e has written more than one hundred books for young readers, including \u003ci\u003eAfrican American Entrepreneurs\u003c\/i\u003e (Wiley); his collaboration with Rosa Parks on her autobiography, \u003ci\u003eRosa Parks: My Story\u003c\/i\u003e; and \u003ci\u003eBlack Eagles: African Americans in Aviation\u003c\/i\u003e.
