A Rainbow for Bee

It’s Bee’s first day of school, and she’s nervous and discouraged—until she discovers the colorful world of paints and meets a new friend.

The songwriting, ukulele-playing author of Dear Bookstore and Dear Library brings fun rhymes to this young early reader. Bee is determined to do her best as she heads to school on the first day. But no matter what she tries—numbers, blocks, music, cooking—everything is a big, big mess. Just as she’s ready to give up, Bee notices something else to try. Paints and brushes may be messy and hard too, but when Bee is joined by a little ladybug from the class, they both gain the confidence to let their creativity fly. A buoyant story for beginning readers, with bright, energetic illustrations.
