The Kids' Karate Workbook
Description
Along the way, kids learn about uniforms and etiquette; practice the most frequently used strikes, kicks, blocks, and forms; and unlock the basics of martial arts physics. The curriculum is highly interactive, inviting readers to answer questions and solve puzzles. It also highlights common mistakes to avoid, answers frequently asked questions, and points the way to a deeper understanding of martial arts. The easy-to-follow text is accompanied by 150 illustrations depicting the author’s own students—real kids who are also serious martial artists. While written for youngsters, the book is equally useful for parents who want to assist in practicing at home, as well as instructors who teach children.
“Parents and teachers: if you are considering a gift for your young martial artist, [The Kids’ Karate Workbook] would be an exceptional choice.”

“The Kids' Karate Workbook by Didi Goodman is designed to supplement karate or tae kwon do classes. A wealth of illustrations show techniques from various positions…as well as helpful side-by-side illustrations of incorrect and correct stances.”
–Press-Citizen
"Terrific, hands on manual for instructors to offer their students. It is nearly impossible to write a technical manual that is general enough to span across many styles and specific enough to be useful. Didi Goodman really nailed it with this book. The illustrations are a terrific tool – especially the small 'quizzes' the kids can take. Loved it. I am going to offer them to my students as they enroll."
