The STEMI "process" comprises of a series of actions; firstly the essential pre-hospital component, that deliver a STEMI patient to the cardiovascular laboratory efficiently, and then the "procedure" that results in rapid restoration of epicardial and myocardial perfusion to the infarcting heart.
