The Wiley Handbook of Sex Therapy is a comprehensive and empirically-based review of contemporary theory and practice in the psychotherapeutic treatment of sexual problems. Coverage is in four sections, exploring: (1) treatment of specific sexual problems such as male erectile dysfunction and female orgasmic difficulties; (2) theoretical approaches to sex therapy; (3) sex therapy with specific populations such as older adults and people with intellectual disabilities; and (4) future directions in sex therapy, including the use of mindfulness and internet-based sex therapy. Bringing together knowledge in this field for the first time in decades, this is an integrated and forward-thinking exploration of sex therapy that advocates moving beyond behavioral treatments to a more holistic approach employing a broad range of theories and techniques.
