Este volumen reúne una selección de las entrevistas concedidas por Roberto Bolaño desde sus primeros años en México, cuando vivía la literatura como rebeldía y ruptura contra el sistema desde el infrarrealismo, hasta las concedidas días antes de su muerte.

A través de estos textos asistimos a algo que fuera de la literatura ya no es posible: podemos escucharle hablar de poesía, de sus lecturas, de su obra, de sus colegas, de su vida… Observamos cómo un poeta se transforma en un novelista, y a cómo un escritor que malvive en sus inicios de lo que escribe empieza a transformarse en lo que hoy es: un mito literario internacional.

Bolaño se muestra aquí a ratos ácido, crítico, pero en otras ocasiones es divertido, tierno, muy humano. Y siempre genial.

This volume brings together a selection of interviews given by Roberto Bolaño from his early years in Mexico, when he experienced literature as rebellion and a break with the system through infrarealism, to those given days before his death.

Through these texts, we witness something that is no longer possible outside of literature: we can hear him talk about poetry, his readings, his work, his colleagues, his life... We observe how a poet transforms into a novelist, and how a writer who ekes out a meager living from his writing in his early days begins to transform into what he is today: an international literary legend.

Bolaño is at times scathing and critical, but at other times he is funny, tender, and very human. And always brilliant.
