Merry Pranks of Till Eulenspiegel

Some folks will believe anything and that’s just what Till counts on as he pranks his way around the world. Till Eulenspiegel, a classic trickster character from Medieval folklore shows us how important a little foolishness can be. Zwerger's paintings are populated by a panoply of peasants and kings, who laugh with Eulenspiegel even as they are being duped.

Heinz Janisch was born in Austria and his books have been translated into more than twelve languages. In 2008 he received the Austrian picture book award.

Lisbeth Zwerger, a highly regarded illustrator of children's books was awarded the Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1990. She has adapted and illustrated several books, including The Little Mermaid, The Selfish Giant, and Tales from the Brothers Grimm.
