Scot Simpson has 30 years' experience in residential and commercial construction and has been president of his construction firm for 22 years. He developed and refined the course of instruction in this book as a method for training his own crews. Scot has written numerous articles for construction publications, and worked with the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute to produce a framing video.
