This calculus-based introductory physics textbook offers a practical approach that sticks to essential material while providing scaffolding for advanced topics. University Physics: Integrating It All offers extended, integrated discussions of calculus to help students review key concepts and illuminate the applied use of calculus in physics courses. Shane Larson and Ron Hellings also present select topics usually reserved for upper-level undergraduates, such as damped oscillations, in accessible terms. The result is a unique text that addresses the idealizations used in introductory physics, provides a glimpse of advanced material for keen students, and gives instructors a sandbox in which to develop their own introductory approaches to these subjects.
