Organic Syntheses, Volume 85

The current volume continues the tradition of providing significant and interesting procedures, which should prove worthwhile to many synthetic chemists working in increasingly diverse areas. Following precedent, there is no specific or central theme to this volume. Scott E. Denmark received his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1975 and his graduate degree (D.Sc. Tech.) from the ETH-Zürich in 1980. He joined the faculty at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the same year. His research interests are in structural, synthetic, and mechanistic organic chemistry.
