When the Floods Came

Imagine you are twenty-two and have never met anyone your own age. You live with your parents and younger siblings in an empty tower block outside Birmingham, isolated ever since a virus ravaged the population and most survivors fled to the south coast. But you're quite content: food is plentiful, you're long used to the weather's violent swings, and are connected online with the outside world. And you're about to meet your fiancé, who is peddling hard up the weed-smothered M40 towards you.

Then a stranger appears out of nowhere - a magnetic you man who charms the whole family. Except he's very good at evading questions about himself. You just don't know if you can trust him . . .
