Synesthesia

Drawing from a wide range of influences, including stamps of the Edo Period, 20th-century Surrealism, Gustave Klimt, Osamu Tezuka, and Yayoi Kusama, Aya Takano has built a universe all her own. Coexisting within her mythology are epic and futuristic pictures, scenes of daily life, and odes to nature, animals, eroticism, and spirituality. This book, her first monograph published in the US, will explore for the first time the many layers of this multifaceted career.
