Description
The volumes of Organic Reactions are collections of chapters each devoted to a single reaction, or a definite phase of a reaction, of wide applicability. The material is treated from a preparative viewpoint, with emphasis on limitations, interfering influences, effects of structure, and the selection of experimental techniques. Numerous detailed procedures illustrate the significant modifications of each method. Includes tables that contain all possible examples of the reaction under consideration. 1. Hydration of Olefins, Dienes, and Acetylenes viaHydroboration--George Zweifel and Herbert C. Brown
2. Halocyclopropanes from Halocarbenes--William E. Parham andEdward E. Schweizer
3. Free Radical Additions to Olefins to form Carbon-Carbonbonds--Cheves Walling and Earl S. Huyser
4. Formation of Carbon-Hetero Atom Bonds by Free Radical ChainAdditions to Carbon-Carbon Multiple Bonds--F. W. Stacey and J. F.Harris, Jr.
