Description
People spend their days differently, but they also spend time doing similar things like sleeping, eating, and commuting. The amount of time people spend at different tasks also varies from person to person. This Spanish nonfiction book analyzes the many things that students do throughout the day while introducing them to new vocabulary terms and concepts. Important text features include a glossary, index, and table of contents to engage students in reading as they develop their comprehension, vocabulary, and literacy skills. The Reader's Guide and culminating activity require students to connect back to the text as they develop their higher-order thinking skills. Check It Out! provides resources for additional reading and learning. With TIME For Kids content, this book aligns with national and state standards and will keep students reading from cover to cover. | Featuring TIME For Kids content, this Spanish reader breaks down a typical day to evaluate how we spend our time. This high-interest title will keep students engaged in reading as they build their critical literacy skills. |

Lisa Perlman Greathouse started her writing career as a journalist, working for The Associated Press for over a decade. There, she reported on hundreds of stories, from interviewing presidential candidates to covering plane crashes. From there, she joined a communications agency, where she launched a custom publishing division and developed award-winning magazines for major clients.
During her professional writing career, Lisa's deep commitment to public education launched an interest in writing children's books. Over the past 20 years, she has written dozens of titles for Teacher Created Materials, mostly nonfiction readers, with a focus on science and social studies. Among her favorites is a biography about President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Lisa is a staunch public education advocate who has run for her local school board. She has two adult children and lives in Southern California with her partner.
